Default Suggestions for speaker replacements

After having tried a regularly used CD from my car in Mrv's car I could tell the quality in sound difference just a change of speakers made. Now I don't want t ogo down the whole "change the head unit cos it's pooh" direction cos I can't afford that right now but I do have

I see where u are coming from San but that model doesn't have enough bass and is not exactly maintenance free

Kenwood KFC 1666's.

They are plastic coned, have a built in coaxial tweeter (so there isn't a lump in the middle to obstruct the bass).

They drop straight into the baskets, you only have to undo the Honda plastic connectors in order to free the spade connectors.

And they were under

What size are the front speakers in an S ?

Since putting the Lucid in, the sound quality is twice as good from behind then in front so need to get something better in the front to even it out.

PMW, i will be flogging some DLS components when i upgrade to my Alpine SPX 177's soon, could sell u those quite cheap, I think they were about 80 quid new.

no point buying high power output speakers if driven by the stock HU (which produces less than 10 RMS per speaker IIRC). A poorly driven expensive speaker will sound no better than a well driven cheap speaker.
