Default Surfing S2000!

Hi there

I'm going surfing at the weekend to Devon....how on earth can I take my 9ft surfboard, any ideas?

I thought if my mate takes the board down to Devon, I could then latch it in Devon over the soft top frame and go about 30-40mph to the local beaches.

Any ideas, any other S2k surfers out there?

Grateful for any advice!

Jim

A surf board shouldn't be a problem.

Hiring/borrowing a car is your only option.

A 6ft board might be do-able on a luggage rack.

Will the softtop roof not take a Bulldog (you wrap it over the board and through the Windows to latch the board on to the roof.

Will 30MPH wing on the board rip it off?

What about lashing the board over the hood, and tying the end of the board to my spoiler?

Oh - well that makes it easy. You take the S, your friend (formerly known as the passenger) drives another car behind you to carry the surf board.

Simple really!

Unhappy

I don't think she'd accept the six hour drive (and she has no car!)

Your only realistic option is to borrow or hire a car, if you try strapping it to the roof it'll end in tears.
