I know some people have got away with it in the past regarding the driveshaft spacers, but for what they cost I think its worth doing for piece of mind, becides its cheaper than new driveshafts.
Having driven both mine and an 08 spec S2000, the 1st thing I would do to the 08 spec S would be to change to coilovers and fit 99-01 spec ARB's followed by a bolt greasing session and a geo setup but thats just my opinion.

Try these they have good reports so I bouight some but they have not arrived yet. You can have the ride standard all the way to slammed and the dampers are 30 way adjustable.

Spacers are an easy way to solve a problem but it can be done for free if you want to spend an hour or two under the car see the sticky in UTH theres a two hour reading on the subject! Im going to fit spacers, cost 99 quid.

You dont need spacers.
The only thing they change is where the rollers run on the buckets.
After lowering the central point will run a few mm further out that is all, nothing else.
Angles, loads etc etc will be unchanged.
Think about what they do, spacers?
Those who had vibes after lowering would have had them anyhow.
its not a function of lowering in itself.
If the buckets were already badly worn you'll get the vibes right away.
Once you pull a hub apart all becomes clear.
