Suspension units: replace dampers in pairs or not?
Had the drivers front suspension replaced as it failed. The car seems to feel a little more twitchy and I'm sure there are numerous settings to be adjusted again, but should these units be replaced in pairs or is that not an issue?

Yes. Presumably you mean dampers.
Should it be standard practise for them to tell me this anyway or not?

Stuart Graham Honda in Crewe - never told me a thing about needing two, even though I'd expected it. Very surprised when they didn't, hence me asking the question here.
I've already sent them a complaint letter over something else. I was going to write this up elsewhere, but might as well do it here I guess:
Here's the text of the (very long) letter I sent to them:

just read the letter ! phew
yes suspension units should always be replaced in pairs. especially on a high performance sports car.
As for your letter, I wouldnt touch the place with a very long pole !
they sound like a right bunch of numpties
sounds like you were lucky not to blow the engine ?
How you managed to squeeze over 6 litres of oil in is a bit of a mystery though
good luck with the complaint

Dog Biscuit, sorry about your poor experience but I have to thank you also. I get my MY 04 S2000 at the weekend and there's no way in HELL it'll be going anywhere near Stuart Graham's! I live quite close in Stoke-on-Trent & have been let down by Holdcroft's too in the past (not mechanically, but saw my car screaming past my works when it was only in for a roof repair. I wasn't happy )
Seem like I/we will have to go out of the area in future to get decent service, which is a sad state of affair's
Also to be fair, the Master Tech at Holdcroft's is supposed to be sh*t-hot, but ffs keep an eye on her if she goes in to them
