I know it's an extra £200, but surely the amount you'll spend on petrol will make it seem small beer? £200 is about 3 fill-ups.

If I could get my hands on a quality well priced post 23/3/06 I would take £200 on the chin. Although I would need £10k first......

Yeah same . Found one for 9500. But it's got 62000. Not sure I want one with that much on it.

Worth mentioning that although the MY06-07 had the traction control and stability control available as an option, in practice there are very few cars out there with them fitted. I've not actually found a single one.
If you really want VSA then the MY08 seems a better option.

MY08/09 are a minefield, avoid like the plague! Many have engine issues, It's a bit of a hot topic on here. I would also avoid the VSA equipped models as many of these modules have failed and cost in the region of £1500.00 to replace, the VSA module is a ticking time bomb about to hurt your wallet. To be honest if you don't drive like a d@ckhead in the wet then you won't need VSA anyway. The later model cars do seem to have inherent issues, those mentioned and also the leather on the seats is inferior quality to the older stuff, there are lots of threads about what I've mentioned, have a search.

I'll be perfectly honest, maybe I'm biased but I really do think the best year of all was an MY05, none of the issues above and apart from replacing all the crappy Nissin brake calipers for re-furbished items last year and the rear wheel bearings I've not had any faults in five years(to the day infact). The car looks great with the facelift interior/exterior and I get loads of compliments on it.

The FAQ is excellent and will tell you everything you need to know about the car so do have a good read of it.

MY00 12 years old, 110k miles. Haven't had to change wheel bearings and only one calliper.

Do I win?

I have been looking at 05 but I don't like the head rests

I like the look of the newer seats and the black cup holder slide panel and newer steering wheel etc. not too fussed about vsa.

Don't forget the 06+ seats with closed headrest also sit even higher than the pre06 ones!

If you're really that keen on them I'd buy a 04/05 and stick 06 seats in best of all worlds!
