Tein FLEX - any feedback?
Something to make the rears more easily adjustable would be wonderful...
i've driven friend's S with Flex (10/12 f/r springs) and i decided to get Monoflex due to minimal price difference and suposedely better product.
i wouldn't say Monoflex rides firmer (mins is actually 12/10 f/r springs).
EDFC is fantastic thing. i like it a lot.
not because it's a gadget but because it allows to try so much setups and decided on what's best.
with manual setup 99% of people will try 2-3 setups max because of the hassle.
ride firmness has a huge dufference between hardest and softest setting.
i've ended using 11 on daily.
i put 10 if i want faster weight transfer and road is not too bad.
12 on rough roads.
16 on absolutely brocken city streets.
9 on good roads.
all in all i'm very happy with 10.
it's allows very good cornering and still absorbing good.
but if i hit very bad road spot (bridge, pot whole, etc) it's not pleasant.
but after all - it's not Tein's fault, as was said earlier every suspension setup is a compromise for specific type of tarmac.
during my commute i hit 6-7 types of road's quality - so it's virtually impossible to be perfect at every situation.
on 10 i'm "very happy" during 95%, "not so happy" at 4% and "suffering" at 1%.
on 11 or 12 i'm "OK" during 98% and "not so happy" at 2%. "very hapy" i'm not.
with stock i'm "OK" 40% and "suffering" at 60% - but this time not because of my back but due to frustration of suspension softness and wobling.

Thanks guys - just purchased the FLEX kit together with the EDFC system so looking forward to another (large) box arriving this week. Maybe I should start a new thread but any recommendations for installation and geometry in Leeds/York area?
Also please post pics of your EDFC installs - think it will have to go in the bottom of the glove box (using the tidy). The central arm area is now full with the tyre pressure/temperature monitor and the phone module that came with the car.

My EDFC is to the right of the steering wheel below the dash....you dont really need to see control box so you could put it anywhere. If you lift the centre console where the handbrake is all the wires you need are under there,Live,Earth,Switchable live and the one you need which dims the readout when you put the lights on.If you need a pic of my control box PM me your email,I havent worked out to use Photobucket yet.Let me know how you lose all the extra cable
