Don't bother testing a new S. Unless yours is a nail mechanically or visually.

You'll gain nothing from a new S. Nothing at all. It'll feel exactly like the metal you own now.

Been there, done that, and I'd have to agree with the Carpmeister.

The speaks and does make a lorra sense.

So what I should be doing is making her sweeter and able to run longer than scrapping her in for a new model.

Just like a wife then?

I'm a realist - In honesty - wives (good ones) make US appear sweeter.

But yes, you have the right idea.

I did think about changing for a new one based purely on the cosmetic changes (yes, I like 'em!).

Colin's right....ould have been pretty stupid really.

If I ever go for the face-lift model, it'll be a few years down the line as a 2nd hand car after most of the depreciation has gone out of it.

Where were you last night. I even wrote a nice wee song for WBT!
Well you wrote something.
I'll have a pint of what he was drinking.

Agree with the stick with what you've got. Unless you're getting a bit long in the tooth and need the softer suspension. Oh, wait a minute ... that's Jaeger.

(I changed mine as the crash repairs were starting to show)

San - Can you be more specific. You are you talking about the car?

Ian - Cheeky, what do you mean "Sumfin" was a good 'ittle ditty. Did you not see Euan's post about being mistaken for a coachdriver? when he put that.

Best keep mine then as there are no crash (I know I shouldn't write this!!!) repairs to show

Go for the test drive Al, just for the hell of it. I had a drive in a 04 last October and my immediate impression was that the gearbox was better. It felt slower, probably because of the low mileage, and also too quiet with the standard exhaust.

I've had my car for 2 years now and have got it just how I want it. I look after it, in a driving and polishing sense, so whats the point in letting someone else have the benefit of that, and losing 8k+ from my pocket?

Unless there is a specific fault with your car, I say keep it. You could upgrade to the full red interior tho
