Thanks for the help
Just a quick note to thank everyone for their replies to my post last saturday morning when my car was dead. The comments and suggestions were extremely useful and after trying all the basics ones it left the alarm system. No warranty and didn't really want to get car towed to a garage unless I really had too. Luckily a friend is very good with electrics and circuit boards and the fuel immobilisation circuit was nicely fried meaning that the car was permantly immobilised on the fuel pump and would turn over but not fire. The connection has been re wired and the S fired up straight away, what a bloody relief.
. This has saved me several hundred pounds and took about 2 1/2 hours and cost some solder and tape. I now owe a big favour but the S works
.
Without everyones posts I would not have known where to look and what to eliminate so a BIG THANKS again
Marc
