If your car choice is between the S and the TT you should go for the TT.

TT will get more cred from the general public. S2000 will get cred of a select few (honda vs audi). But do you want to drive it, or be seen in it?

I drove a 225 TT recently, same day as I test drove an S.

S left me with a big smile on my face and was fantastic fun tearing around the roundabout central (Basingstoke). TT was quick but not in the same "turns into a missile at 6k" way as the S. S was just a more thrilling drive. Turn-in was horrid on the TT, understeer, yuck. I don't go back to anything other than a RWD, or RW-biased AWD car now though.

My 2 cents. TT is still a lovely looking car, but it does have an awful image, so many hairdressers/salesmen posing in them driving like old women.

There's plenty of understeer on the S.

I was put off them last year, never even got to drive one after hearing so many stories about how bad they are to drive, no sense of connection with the road etc. Only way to find out is to drive them both.

Another thing that put me off was depreciation this time last year they were losing money v quickly, not sure what there like now.

I was thinking the same kinda choice a few months back, TT, Boxster or S2000

TT`s are slower, hairdresser car, gay, unreliable, coil pack and dash problems, too popular, not worth a second look.... on the other hand... handle better, good quality trim, Bose stereo, cheaper to service and insure.

S2000 very expensive to repair if anything goes wrong, expensive insurance, back end happy even in dry, errmm... no more bad points! VERY reliable, aggressive, head-turner, OMG rev range, drift car, not popular (loads of my mates and people say theyve never seen one!), I feel its a nicer drive, excellent quality car all round..

Just test drive them both, id say the S2000 all day long.
