time to change the oils
im getting my car serviced and want to make sure i get the right replacement oils for the engine, gearbox and the dif, there seems to be a lot of differing opinions on these forums on which to use, i'm not after the most expensive but i want to avoid the cheap, can anyone just put in simple terms what type of the 3 oils i need for the engine , gearbox and dif. the car is a 2004 with 40k... any advice is appreciated

Amsoil on Opie Oils is literally the company who make the Honda MTF if you don't want to make a trip to the stealer as they don't always give it out.
You need 5ltr engine oil, 2ltr gearbox and 1ltr for the diff if memory serves. But always best to get a little more so you can flush it through a little.
And get a oil pump (electric or manual) as it makes changing the gearbox and diff oil about 100x easier.
Also the diff fill plug is a right odd size, I think it is a 23mm and you need a ring spanner as a socket won't fit annoyingly. Make sure you can undo all the fill bolts before you undo the sump plugs!!!!!

5w40 Fully Synth - buy 6 litres - (I used Fuchs Titan Race Pro S - but there are many other cheaper/pricier options)
Honda MTF3 - buy 2 litres - (I used Honda MTF3 - widely used)
75w90 GL5 - buy 1 litre - (I used Red Line 75W90 - a popular choice amongst many others)
