Maybe

Popped out woth the roof down today - I forgot just how enjoyable the S2000 is. Didnt even use VTEC (until gearbox is sorted) but it's such an involving car

UF, yep will do that ta.

I don't care what the other car is - S2000s are rather uniquely addictive!
Tell me about it, I am trying to sell mine but had no choice but to go out in it today which reminded me what a great car the S is.

This is cyclical, trust me.

When you are out in yours, you'll look at other ones and think hmmmm if i want to get back into this game, i'd need to take a punt on something i don't know the history of and that will make you either put the price of yours up to the point it won't sell.

OR ( far more likely )

You'll take the advert down and 'try again next year'.

I'm going to avoid the multiple S2000 ownership cliche by simply keeping the one i have

Until i do it all over again next year

Exactly what I did for a year, then sold up - always regretted it! Took a punt on a cheaper MY2000 model, it's almost running well now! 6 owners, 113k miles, looked over it, got a mechanic to look over it. All seems well! Should have kept the last one, although, this one is in better condition!

Hopefully better than that shed you didn't sell me

Just the input and output bearings it seems. Over 30 you start to get a whining noise. Not uncommon it would seem (some vids on youtube and threads on here)

Jim, no snorkel - OEM FTW!

I did get tempted to fit a K&N Gen 2 I have lying around as it's got the kangaroo issue in traffic (forgot how annoying that is)

That is one of the reasons I want to sell my car, how annoying the S is in traffic generally. Amazing car to go for runs in, superb for cruising around in the evening summer sun, but use it as a daily in the grind of commute, or even just a fairly busy stop start road and the frustration gets too much! .... after 9 years or so for me anyhows!

Using mine for the commute is what made me decide to get rid of it too.

It's too easy to lose the love when you're stuck in traffic all the time and driving the same boring pothole ridden roads every day.

Aygo - 26k miles in (44k in total) and still more than happy with it.

Stuck a set of Sparco RTT wheels on ... 195 45 15 tyres ..... 6" wide rim. Up from 4.5" wide and a horridly squidgy 165 65 14 tyre. Rollerskate - drive it at 10/10ths everywhere. Don't lift off between gear changes, late LATE braking .... much fun.

Still love the S2000 when i use it, on the nice days, when i get up a bit earlier and it's not raining etc etc.
