firstly that 3 series is a colour eye sore.

s2000 prices from 4000 maybe for a high mile pre facelift. not like the one pictured

the S in picture look s like it might have run into some wildlife... driver side front bumper / wing alignment is all wrong.. speaking from experience.

Out of that "Top 10" there's only one i'd have and that's the S.

The only other sensible cheap convertibles are an MX5 or an MR2 IMHO.

I don't understand why that 6 series is on the list either - bet one of those would be a nightmare to own out of warranty. There's a reason it's cheap to buy!!

7k gets you a 2004 645. That's not a lot of cash for a lot of car. Like you said I bets the bills can get quite hefty on a car like that.

Heresy to say this on this forum, but i agree that the S2000 is not as reliable as other Hondas.

For example, i had to have a new engine in both my s2000s. Both replaced under Honda warranty.

That's a 100% failure rate.

The first one also had a new clutch under warranty. The second one had 2 new sets of wheels under warranty and a hub nut came off.
