Ade, if you've never tracked - do Elvington first. Airfields are better for gaining confidence and Croft is a fast circuit with armco and gravel, if you haven't driven a circuit before, it's not the best place to start. As with all trackday companies, you have to book tuition if you want it.
Joper90 - Motorsport Events do airfield days at Keevil (near Westbury - highly recommended) and a couple of other airfields fairly close to you (Hullavington and Kemble).
Combe do their own trackdays (reportedly not the safest ones though).

OK
Checked Bookatrack, they have Croft (circuit) or Elvington (airfield)
Anybody have any experience or views on these two?
Is it best to get track insurance?
Do bookatrack just give you free reign or do they train you too?

Elvi is pretty dull by comparison but that does mean that you can explore the limits of car and driver without having to give a thought to scenery (armco, trees etc) flashing by your window at high speed.
Bookatrack days are very well run, safe and freindly but tuition will cost you an extra
