GavB had a small spin, but he kept it on the black stuff
First Track Day + too much speed + heavy steering = loss of control.
Defintely my inputs at fault. Glad I did though, loved skidding sideways, thought I was on top gear..
...satisfying to come to a standstill still on the track.

Followed by lots of mud
I'd have spun if i was in the s2ki. i just span a lot more in the BatCat. I think the total count was 7, and i enjoyed every one.

I spun mine on the road a few years ago, hit the kerb, badly scratched up the 10 day old wheels, put the geo well out of whack.
Reason:- excess enthusiasm, inappropriate level of talent.
doing my best to follow two other drivers that were more able than myself.
it is interesting though that in a large number of cases you always seem to hear about 'mitigating' circumstances.
eg, it was wet, damp, greasy, dark, cold, oily, etc etc etc.
rarely do you hear:- i was driving like a tw@t, or I screwed it up.
it's almost as if the fact that it was wet, cold, etc etc etc is an acceptable excuse.
I think it's time the carper brought the mishap lists back to life.....

Muttly makes a good point though. I saw only one S2000 spin on Saturday. At a trackday you are concentrating on the driving. Not listening to the radio, thinking about work, etc etc.

I did spin mine twice, but both were completely driving error. One was showing off and dicking around, the other wasn't really a spin, but an offtrack excursion that was caused by a moments inattention.
