Default Tyre Advice Required

Could do with some advice please.

Looking for some decent tyres for my S2K. A lot of the threads on here have advice for tyre options for OEM wheels but mine has aftermarket wheels. Just wondered is recommended tyres would be different?

I have 18" OZ Ultraleggra wheels. Currently running on 215 40 18 on the front and 245 35 18 on the back.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Performance of a certain make and model of tyre doesn't vary much with size as far as I am aware. If you see some comments in the tyre thread about a certain tyre and you like the sound of them, then check if that tyre is available in the size you want and buy them.

Maybe look in the massive tyre thread? Size makes little to no difference.

Yokohama Ad08's or AD08R's are a pretty good bet, quite a popular tyre which seem to be run by a lot of people.

Depends on your budget and whether you want a tyre purely for road or if you track the car too. There's a huge choice and i know certain people favour certain tyres.

I've had Bridgstones and Continental SP5, very happy with both. Only issue that I have had is tyre pressures. I have found that it is important that the tyre pressure is set to oem recommendations and all 4 are at the same pressure.

Closing this now as going over the same ground as the tyre thread.
