Default tyre thoughts

Just thinking about this at the moment, and would appreciate some informed input. I don't tend to use my S in the wet (if I can help it) and it isn't a daily driver. It only comes out for fun: the odd weekend away and the occasional trackday.
I'm thinking that for the track it might be more fun to change the (now fairly worn) S02s I have on the car for something more interesting, such as Yokohama A048s. I am not planning on having an extra set of wheels and tyres so if I did this, I'd obviously limit the wet grip.
Would these tyres improve my trackday fun?
Would they spoil my (slower) days out on public roads?
I have the stock 16" wheels and all my suspension is stock.
Any thoughts?

I would be very wary about moving away from Stock rubber on the Public roads, even the AO48's will have a large difference.

You can get a full set of spare wheels in the S2000 and I would look at that route for trackdays, alternatively put a spare set on the day of the track and take it easy both there are back.

I will have a couple of sets coming up for sale soon, not looking for much for them, just a help to offset my new wheels

Thanks chaps. It looks as though I should ditch my original plan and get a set of wheels and tyres specially for the track.
