Default Tyres

People,

I am trying to sort out some new alloys today, and I have been told I can't get Eagle F1's in size 235/35/18 or 225/40/18 and the only alternative is to use Pirelli P-Zero in those sizes. I was just wondering if anyone else had used these tyres on there S and what they thought of them.

Out of interest the wheels I am looking at are Mille Miglia EVO5 18" (18x8 front and 18x9 rear).

Cheers,

Mike

Mike,

Could you please explain to me (a complete novice in all things S2000 ish) what benefits there are in changing the wheels??

Mike - great minds think alike and all that !

I'm in the process of getting the Evo 5's myself.

The sizes I've had agreed are 245x35-18 for th 9" rear, and 225x40-18 for the 8" front.

You can also get Toyo Proxy's in that size as well, which are a little cheaper.

It you want the contact details of the place where I'm getting mine, send me a PM !

Cheers
Rich

I am changing them, purely for looks rather than anything else, plus I needed new tyres anyway as they are virtually bald!

Some change them for extra performance by getting lighter wheels. Hopefully someone else will post a reply as there are a lot more experienced people out there than myself.

I have managed to find someone who will supply me with F1's now I just have to get a slightly larger size on the back. F1's all round will be

Great choice of wheels, I was thinking of these for the future. Any info about where you got them from would be great, and even better a report on how they run when you get them on.

Cheers
Marc

PS 600 squid sounds pretty good to me, I would of expected to shell optimax out 10 tons for 18"

I am getting a mate to sort them out for me. He knows a trader so can get me a discount. I'll find out details for you, but it is down Southampton way.

I'll be ordering them on Monday so should have them fitted by the end of next week. I'll post some pics as soon as they are on.

As you say Rich, great minds think alike
