Tyres for S2000!!
Hi there
At the moment I have Bridgestone S03 Pole positions. However the fronts are bald on the inside and the rears are on the limit.
So I need to get all 4 replaced ideally.
Now I was wondering which is the best tyre to go for?
Also what is the specific Bridgestone S02 tyre that was specifically designed for the S2000, so I order the right ones?
What about competing brands of tyres, any just as good. I was best possible dry performance, and obvious any new tyre is gonna be better in the wet than my currents ones as they will have tread..
Thanks
Gibbo

ES02-JZ is the S2000-specific S02 - check the Tech FAQ for more details.
The most commonly used replacement is the Goodyear F1 Eagle (remembering that you'll want a 245 on the rear) although there are a few people who have tried Toyo Proxes and spoken highly of them.
Any replacement is likely to lack the out and out dry grip of the S02 but may be a better compromise in terms of year-round all-weather grip and behaviour.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but thought it better than starting another.
Anyway, I am also about to get a new set of tyres and was wondering what the consensus is on S03 vs F1 Eagle.
Does the F1 sit somewhere between the S02/03 ?
(From what I have read the S02 seems a bit extreme for our weather )
