No need to upgrade the internals as they are forged from the factory.
The advantages over s/c,is that the turbo kit will produce more power/torque at the same level of boost(depending on turbo kit)
Chris at efi-parts fitted my turbo kit and mapped it,top bloke and has mapped a fair few turbo-supercharged s2000.
And with over 500hp they are a handfull :-))

Whats the torque figures of the turbo conversions?
How long do these engines last... 10-20k?
The heat must take its toll fast....

Well mine went over 370lb,so I told him to back it off,it's now at 344lb/ft.thats at 17.5 psi.
If you do go down the turbo route, and aim for over 500hp,I would invest in some uprated head bolts.think it's a common problem around that figure.

Not sure I would want to go beyond what I have now from a reliability point of view.
I know the turbo will be quicker but how much more than 450 bhp & 300 ft / lbs torque do you need?
I use mine as a DD and I am 8,500 miles in and so far no issues.

I totally agree,500hp is a bit much in an s2000,I think the power/tourqe delivery of a turbo plays a big part of it,if it was 4wd(now there's a plan lol )it wouldn't be an issue.
When I was supercharged it was easier to drive faster down a back road,
But the turbo does feel more fun/exciting to drive

Well as I said in my thread second gear has let go in mine now so Frankie I suspect with your bigger turbo it's something to watch out for. The turbo is much quicker than sc and I'm 4-5 psi lower than I was when supercharged, when the gearbox is changed I will then proceed up to 20psi again to break the 500bhp figure on APT's dyno.
The motec is awesome compared to the AEM. The fact you can do individual cylinder alteration etc is great. So for example, cylinder's 3 and 4 can't take as much timing as 1 and 2 so we pulled 2degrees out of just them rather than the whole lot. The knock control is lightening quick and the moment it sees knock it will pull timing and add fuel to only the cylinder that is knocking so it doesn't bog the engine, you can't even tell it's doing it. The safety factor is awesome as you never know the quality of fuel you are buying. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

My originally my turbo came with .86 but changed it for a .62 in the hope it will spool a few hundred rpms lower.
