Default Upgrading PCV FI Applications

Not having any issues at the moment but thinking about upgrading my OEM PCV for a stronger valve or re-routing the vac line through my CC to the SC intake so the rocker cover is permanently open, via both ports.

What have you guys done running higher boost levels?

I know across the pond some have used a supra PCV and gutted the OEM unit.

I'm undecided.

Just cut it all out and run a catch can.

You still need some sort of vac pipe otherwise you will get the dipstick poping out.

Cap off intake manifold, run both ports to catch can no way of boost entering cam case then.

That's what I meant by my first post.

Is there any negatives to doing this? I would imagine the vac isn't as strong (part throttle) when vented through the CC to filter intake than directly to the intake manifold?

cap the manifold connection and run both vents to a can, you need a big tank aprox 7 x the volume of air your trying to clean or impingemnt filters to remove the oil from the air, most of the tanks you see are more show than go, heres one i adapted and it made a hell of a difference

and here is what it took out in a month

without the mods it just left a few drops

if you can stand to use something designed for BMW and dont mind spending $200 this is one of the neatest designs i have seen

I thought that would be best.

I've just bought a new baffled unit like that BMW one to replace my Cusco catch can. I'll sort it out this weekend

What connection did you use on the rocker cover instead of the PCV or did you drill it out?

im sure mine MY 02 was in the ruber line the fitting on the rocker cover was just a pipe did they change the design at some point
does no one make a billet filler cap with a large 3/4 hose fitting, that was always best way to keep an engine vented
