Default Vibration moments

Since last Saturday, I am feeling a vibration on the steering wheel. The vibration increases or decreases relative to the speed of car. The faster I go the more the vibration and vice versa. I tried driving at a constant speed and pressed the clutch pedal. The vibration remained constant to the speed of car. I applied gently the brakes to exclude a warped disk but the vibration always remained the same. I also put down the tyres to 28Psi but to no avail

A said already, the vibration is mostly felt from the steering wheel between around 60Km/H to 160Km/H on straight roads and even the passenger can feel the car vibrating. The feeling isn

If it happened suddenly perhaps you lost some wheel weights?

If you can see a shaking image in your rear view mirror it could be prop shaft out of balance. Relatively unlikely, but having driven RWD cars most of my life it is something that new drivers are possibly not aware of.

Wheel balancing sounds like the culprit as the vibration appears between 60Km/H to 160Km/H this is consistent with a wheel being out of balance! Another possibility is a wheel bearing, also double check the wheels have the correct torque on the nuts! Another possibility is a worn mounting on the engine or drive train. As mentioned before the prop is another area to check.

Good luck.

Please not the prop shaft or bearings. These sound expensive.

I will unscrew all 4 wheels and make sure they are sitting correctly and use same strength to tighten the nuts.

I will keep you posted with my progress.

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs; so please excuse me for stating the obvious!
Make sure you are using a calibrated torque wrench and ensure that you do a recheck after 24 hours!
I do think your problem is down to a wheel balance issue from what you have writen so don't panic yet!!

Is wheel nut torque really that critical

No not as the likely cause of the above. Though it is always a good thing to check with a vibration problem. Especially if the wheel has recently been off the car.
