On my old MY04 S2000 the previous owner had installed a paint shield for stone chip protection. It covered the whole front of the car including wing mirrors, bumper, bonnett and wings.
The shield is a thin laminate film which you can wash, polish etc just the same as your paint.
Cost was £700 fully installed and came with a 4 year warranty incase the film came unstuck. The front of the car was in superb condition and this product was well worth the money.

I would recommend this for the amount of miles you are doing!
If at any stage you did not want it anymore they could do a simple removal which did not cost too much.

I had this put on the front of my S it's almost invisible, you treat it like the rest of the bodywork when it comes to wash/wax etc and it is pretty easy to remove. If you live in not too far from Portsmouth there is a guy at Waterlooville I can recommend. He's friendly and good at his job. He took around 6hrs to do the whole of my bonnet, the whole bumper inc lip, the front of the wings, wingmirrors and headlights. Cost £500.It's supposed to 'self heal' if it is slightly damaged, doesn't fade or yellow, and will protect the paintwork from slight scuffs, ie; nudging walls etc.
Our neighbour has had his GTR3 matt black wrapped and personally it looks fecking awful. His father has had his Bentley Coupe wrapped in chrome and not only is that awful it's particularly chavvy too. I suppose it takes allsorts though.
