Set his VTEC to 4750?! That shows some clever thinking
These things dont map the fuelling or ignition timing - so it would be very unwise to do that.
Its cheap for a reason.
If you want power then look for a remap or an aftermarket ECU. Apexi VAFC is also an option, but needs rolling road tuning.

I've got a Apexi, you can map the fueling for the changes you make
(otherwise it makes your car slower - the cross over point is there as it's the optimum).
Mine was on a rolling road for about an hour and a half. managed to drop the vtec point to about 5,400 and then up the fueling to compensate .. made about 4bhp at the top end, but the curve was flatter (no dip to the stock vtec point).

If they did one that altered the timing it would be an even better bit of kit - thats where the extra gains are from. Effectively it would be a fully working piggyback controller.
Do you find you have to reset your ECU to stop the ECU learning its old ways Bibbs?

Apexi did a timing controller to go with the rest of the range.
RSM - Speed cut
SAFC - Fuel Controller
VAFC - Fuel & Vtec Controller
AVCR - Boost Controller
(I've had all on one car or another - RSM & VAFC on the S2000)
But when they went from Gen1 to the Gen2 design .. they dropped it.
They are just releasing their Gen3 models (colour displays etc) so hope they re-introduce one.
The PowerFC does the lot, but not seen one for the S2000.
The ECU does need to reset, I'm going to tap in two buttons, one to cut the backup power (ECU Reset) and another to get the ECL flashing.
I found the car was quicker, but the vtec transition was so smooth you could only tell the change from the sound. So I've stored the settings and re-set it .. for general driving, I'm a fan of the V-tec kick (must be from my old turbo days) .
