Default Water in the boot

Out of curiosity I pulled out the polystyrene that the tool kit fits into to see whether there was any worthwhile space to be gained from storing the tools elsewhere, only to find a pool of water in the bottom.

I seem to remember that Brian Marshall had the same trouble, a while back, something to do with the air exit vents not being sealed?

I'm curious to know whether there are any others with leaks that they haven't yet discovered they have.

OMG - how sensitive can you get!
Went to look - bone dry!
There's a lot of space there!
Since I am carrying these seal the puncture thingies- why am I wasting space on all that crap - ditch it - and the spare wheel - that's the answer.

Yes, it was me.

Apparantly one of the vents was not sealed correctly. There are two, behind the centre rear trim panel, at the level of the tool tray. They vent into the rear bumper, so cannot be seen from outside. I guess they perform a similar function to the grills on the C-post on a conventional car body.

I'm still not convinced that mine is fixed, as it hasn't rained heavily since it went into the dealer for the second attempt.

The one you can't see It's behind the rear trim panel, the one below the boot opening. I haven't lifted the trim myself.
