Default We are so fortunate...

So I wander outside for a cig a moment ago (I know, I know...it's bad) and there's a guy getting an early dart in his Volvo C7 tin top.

He jumps in, pops his sunglasses on and waits.

I watch for the next...well, what felt like 15 minutes, while this bizzare arrangement of transformer style activity takes place with various bits opening and closing, panels sliding around and finally, everything tucks away into the boot with a click.

In the time it took, I could have jumped into mine, folded the roof and been halfway home....

All hail the S2000 roof. It's a simple marvel. (Apart from the obvious flaws like wear etc).

I still remember the excellent piece on Top Gear with Hammond saying he has the fastest roof on his Z4.

Won a roof-down competion with the boss and his 2S soft-top. He was trying to show off that he could walk to the car, click the button and it would allow him to finish his conversation then get in and drive off. So after I walked to the car, got in, popped the roof, put it down, seat belt on, glasses on and sat there for him to say "put the windows up" which I did and his STILL wasn't down.

I won and he doesn't play that game any more

I don't understand the whole roof down, windows up look (unless I'm on the moorway) as it looks gash.

It is handy having a fast roof, especially if starts raining!!

My Streetka was terrible as you undid the roof catches, then got out of the car and physically put the roof down yourself!

Unplug your speed sensor and you can drive off while dropping the hood, I do it even when I am not in a rush because I f@#kING CAN. Best mod for the S hands down.
