So I was driving along slowly and my car started making a horrible noise then something dropped off and the noise went but I'm not sure what this part is, can anyone help?

I drove about 100m and could tell it was something to do with the drive. It's parked up now. How do they just fall off!?

Or prop

Both front and rear use collars

Get it up on stands, you'll spot the issue straigh away. I did this on mine when I didn't torque up the gearbox end when I swapped the diff

Did you have any work done recently on the gearbox, clutch, diff or CV joints?

Defo Prop, very surprised you hadn't had a vibration or knocking for a while

Do they require loctite? Other driveshaft bolts do... And proper torque.
