Default 'What Car' S2000 0-60 MPH

I recieved a call today; after my recent correspondence with one of the motoring journalist for What Car magazine, as i noted that on the back of the magazine the reported 0-60 mph time was 5.7 seconds for the S. This is far quicker then the reported times in the Top gear magazine and the Honda S2000 sales brochure.

I actually spoke to the guy who test drove the car and he confirmed that the Honda S2000 reaches 60 MPH from standstill in only 5.7 seconds. For the first few minutes he did nothing but praise the car!!!

I'm not sure if you already knew this but I thought I should share this info. with you all

Cheers.

i've also read many different car mags and and many of them have different 0 to 60 times. i personally like to believe my car can do the 5.7sec!

I did a watch timing and consistently got sub 6 seconds over 3 runs. You just have to hope that What car uses decent timing equipment.

I queried that and he said that they use state of the art, extremely stringent computerised timing equipment, and reassured me that the data is very credible.

I forget what its called but I used to have it on a Palm V which would plug into the car. Ran it on the MR2 and it would measure and record everything graphically including speed, accelleration etc. worked real well and would give you the info you need to be precise

The 00 car was tested at MIRA and they got 0-60 in 5.5s.

Why not borrow BMW's testing equipment... this would surely knock another two seconds off the 0-60 time if it's the same equipment used to incorrectly claim their Z4 has the quickest auto retractable hood in the world, despite Top Gear proving otherwise with the S.
