Much maligned, but in fact is pretty good if you put some rear speakers in.
If you want to put an amp and fantastic speakers in fair enough, but if you just want to hear it in reasonable quality whack the rear speakers on a stock HU IMO.
Put a second hand changer on for

OK I'm running a RF Badged Denon A1n with Burr Brown Class K 24bit Digital to Analog Converters.
Cons: No Dash Controls, No Remote, No Built in amp, JAP Spec Tuner.
Pro: The second best sounding in car head unit ever made......
You want more ? Oh ok then, 5 volt non clipping preouts , Balanced Line transmission, No built in amp. Jap OEM Style Mounting (perfect for Honda). Oh and it looks bling the face is 7 mm alloy plate with real titanuim buttons

That many I lost if after the first sentence
I've got the Alpine 9812R.
Pros:
Plays MP3 CD's
Dash controls work
Cheaper than Honda CD Changer
Looks pretty if your into that sort of thing
Cons:
Controls and UI seem over complicated
No sign of speed sensitive volume ??
