What Pads
Hi,
I'm finally in a position where the s2000 is no longer my daily driver and a place to keep it day to day. With this in mind I am about to go give the car a refresh and check over so that I am able to begin attending track days.
My friends often do these a bit last minute and so I would love to have the car ready to go at a moments notice. One of the things I am struggling to make a decision on is what pads to use?
The car will still be used on the roads, albeit not often, and then occasionally on track, i'm a complete novice only haven driven the nurburgring and nurburgring GP circuit, any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Tom

DS2500.
I have them on my s2000 which is only used for weekend blasts and track days, they are the perfect pad for these occasions.
If you want to go one step more hardcore then DS3000 will be best but these are very much track day only.

Ive had DS2500 pads on my old Prelude 2.2vti and they were fantastic on track. They had great bite from cold too.
From reviews with them on the s2000 though, they seem to squeal alot. I never had that issue when I had them on the Prelude.

Just come from EBC yellow stuff, now have ds2500 a little better initial bite, both good from cold, ds2500 have less dust,
& a little better stopping power by a margin,i recommend both.
EBC are less $
used shims from old pads to eliminate any squeal.

I never had great results with DS2500, it's possible to waste them in a single track-day and take your discs with them. Only marginally better than stock.
Dixcel are as good as you're ever to likely need, much better than stock and last a long time, but cost a great deal more and are noisy.

DS2500 get my vote. I have been using them for 4 years - initially as a daily driver/occasional track use - and now fast road/weekend/track use.
Great bite from cold, although really shine after being warmed up. I only replaced the fronts at first and wasn’t too impressed, fitted to the rear too and the braking performance was instantly improved.
I run OEM discs, braided lines, performance fluid (super blue), and Yokohama AD08r Tyres.
A good friend has the PBS on his EP3 track car and they have ‘rattled’ from day one. Their performance is great although quite dusty. For the price you can’t go wrong with them!
