what to replace S2000 with?
Hmmm well personally theres no way youd get me moving to London and selling the S - never been a city boy, and Id sell kidneys (both) before the S2000 went.
Anyways back to the plot - Id go for a Seat Leon 20Vturbo. definitely.
oh also - not wanting to get into specifics, but are you sure the MR2 turbo accelerates faster than an S2K Richard ? - Im sure these were around six and a half seconds to 60 werent they ? - mind you I know they can be modded easy to go stupidly fast, what is yours running ?

If you're worried about street parking then getting an used car is the only solution. Don't overlook Skodas - they're fabulous cars for the money.
As for Alfas, I'd stay well away. You can be sure of two things with Alfas:
1. Something will go wrong
2. Having root-canal surgery without anaesthetic will be less painful than having to sort it out with an Alfa dealer.
I looked into getting a 147 when they first came out and gave up after trying three times, and failing three times, to get a test drive organised. If you're still keen on a 156 V6 you should be able to pick up some cracking deals soon, new or used - Alfa are going to kill off the V6 engined 156.

This is SO true
I still can't help buying them though... it helps to have a tame Alfa specialist who actually knows what he is doing and doesn't try to screw

Maybe one day I'll scratch that itch.
How about a black Cab???
The average speed of traffic in London is 4mph
Insurance is a nightmare
Little B
ds!!!! will damage and nick it. A friend of mine even had his 'H reg' fiesta stolen the other week.
At least with a cab you have something designed for traveling in hell.
Shame you can't stay outside of Ken's pedestrian paradise.
