What should Boab01 do with his S2k?
I'm struggling, the impracticality of having 2 seats has been bothering me since wee girl no2. has been born.
Wife jumped at the idea of a 4 door and I REALLY like the FD2 but relative to the krautwagons available it's a bit weedy at 225 bhp but it's got Big Brembo front brakes, it looks brilliant and I get to choose my own ICE etc.
What other options should I consider, S4? M3? I just don't like em that much and they are too common, so my choice is Evo IX or a VIII which would be a great car but hardly a good daily drive and I'd need to buy shares in my local Shell garage...
I might keep the S a while longer but I'll sell it next early year almost certainly.
What haven't I thought of.

I wouldn't buy a me too car like the M3 (nor would I want to run one), an S4 is just devoid of any personality, and Impreza's also fall into the "me too" catagory to the extent that I find them almost part of the street furniture. There's an Impreza on every journey I make these days, and usually more than one.
Buy a beater and keep an Atom in the garage.
Failing that, an Evo X.

I'm following your thinking Gaz, IF I had a garage some kinda of Lotus 7 affair would be the order of the day, maybe an Atom but most likely a Westie or Caterham. But I don't so they're out.
Evo X is more wonga than I want to spend, perhaps I'll get a deal on an IX? I'll head over to Phoenix Stirling and have a look the running costs are what concerns me most, 2-3 services a year and what, 20mpg? Little bit much for me.
I think I just find M3s and S4s etc. just a little distasteful, they are kind of "middle management" mobiles and that's not what I want. Scoobies are great cars if you're willing to be seen in one I just don't have enough fake gold and burberry for it .
