Default What is wrong with my car.

Have a supercharged Ap1,

Just took it out for a fast drive and the car started hesitating before vtec and then stuttering.

I stopped and the car then cut out... When it turned it back on (took longer than normal) there was a rattling noise from the engine, I then drove it slowly for a mile and was rattling more as the revs got higher.

It then worked as normal all the way home.

It is so temperamental and occasionally knocks and stuff but have no idea why.... Getting fed up with the constant problems with the car.

Anyone had a similar experience or have any alarm bells going off about what's wrong with the car I would be really greatful if you could help me.

Cheers

Hard to diagnose over what you've said. Tct maybe worth a look at? Doesnt explain hesitation though, misfire? Coilpack? Where are you located?

It has oil but im questioning the location of the breather hose to the catch can. The rocker cover is skimmed and the old (stock) hose blocked off, there are two new breathers which are located on the front and are about an inch and a half lower then the old one.

Yes the car is supercharged and I am based in Maidstone, Kent.

It's stressing me out big time. Constant pain in the arse...

Sorry I can't help at all, but I'm only 20 minutes away in Medway so if you ever need a second pair of hands in the future I'm always up for helping out! (Plus I've never been out in a charged S2K before! )

Hopefully this is nothing major. My fingers are crossed for ya.

Check the pulleys/bearings on the supercharger setup for play, they are prone to collapsing.
