That will do for me then...

If it was the Evo I wouldn't hestitate in going for Yoko's or R888's but I think I will just go with the Bridgestones. 95% of my driving will be on roads anyway, albeit fast ones.
MB,

Do you all get the RE01r's in the UK? I can vouch for the RE050s for road and track. Mine were great right down to 2mm, and yes, we do get rain!

The 01R's seem to get an excellent rating on tirerack.com, better than the R050s. I saw them on a well prepped (trailered in) Evo VII this weekend at a meet. They look really mean - very big outside blocks. Those are definitely my next set.

No, and they're not road legal if you were to import some. I thought about getting some for track use only, honest, but for the price you may as well have A048s.

You know I mean the A048R!
Wasn't exactly sure but suspected that it would be some sort of track biased tyre.

They do? I can't see them on the Event site. What size are you looking at?

I considered going CR 070's but like Dembo said, there's no plans to introduce the correct sizes.

That's interesting. I wonder what makes them not road legal? They are 140 tread wear also, and the R does not stand for R compound, but revolutionary. They are supposed to be perfectly road legal. They are classed a Extreme performance summer tyres, just like Yoko Advan Neova AD07. Oh well....

From Tirerack.com:

The Potenza RE-01R (with the "R" signifying Revolutionary) is the Extreme Performance Summer tire member of Bridgestone's global family of Potenza performance tires developed for enthusiastic sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan drivers. The Potenza RE-01R is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control in dry and wet road conditions. The Potenza RE-01R is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
