Default Wheel Corrosion

Hi I'm the very happy new owner of a Red S2000, one week in my possession, and about 1000 miles.

Although the car is just 2 years old the alloy wheels are showing first signs of corrosion. My Dealer say's they will put in a warrantee claim for 4 new ones, which will be great.

Anyone else had similar troubles? and should I be looking for any other inherent problems before the expiry of the warrantee.

Any other owners in Beds / Herts area?

Hi Gray
I am one of the bald one's on this site so I think you should not be so sad about a little gray. I digress. We got a new set of wheels six weeks ago and smart thy are. Just the same as the origional ones but all shiny.
Liz and I do live in your area and if you are ever going to Rockigham speedway send us mail and we could arange a cuppa.
Live high drive low. Peter

I know this is a slim chance at best but here goes: Would it be possible to keep the old, corroded set or slip your dealer a couple of quid for them? I am seriously looking for another set of OEM rims and will pay realistic money for some.

Cheers!

A slim chance, as you say, but I will try. If they will play ball, I will let you know.

TR

I have been informed by my honda dealer to look at my wheels, as they have had to replace two sets so far under waranty. They told me that they have been informed to send them back to Honda (Japan).
