Default Wheel Refurb

I live in Cumbria and work every weekday, I commute to work and back in my S.

I am looking into getting the wheels refurbished as they are suffering badly from corrosion and abuse over the years. I was wondering what my options were?

The absolute easiest for me would be to get a brand new set of wheels and stick the old tyres on them, this is probably the most costly way of doing it with the five spokes going for +£800 on ebay.

My other options would be to put the car on axle stands and send the wheels away, but this would mean being without a car for about a week I would imagine?

Any other options I'm not considering?

There are places that come to you and do them or you could stick them all into the boot of another car and take them somewhere and wait.

Failing that, as you say, buy some already done and then flog your old ones for minimum effort.

Or buy another set in need of re-furb... Get them done instead or use them while you get yours done. Sell when you're finished.

http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ have an exchange programme.

They have 400 agents, so perhaps one near to you.

Can do diamond cut and all the fancy finishes

Go somewhere that will pwoder coat them for you the same day whilst you wait.
Touching up the existing finish will not last well.

I bought a set of second hand wheels with tyres, slipped these on while i had the originals powdercoated. Cost me £180 and £20 for a garage to take the wheels off and on. Took about a week to do.

Funny, I'm looking to get either new wheels or go 17", but taking a look on ebay have found this: PX Wheels

Has anyone used these? Are they any good?
