How many of you declared it as a mod to your insurer?

Without declaring it your insurance will just pull out after an accident so I don't think it matters what other people do?

It's sad and at the same time ridiculous but it's how it is unfortunately

That was my thought but I was gauging how many we're prepared to chance their arm...

I did, I figured it wasn't worth the risk should the worst happen. From memory, it hardly increased the premium.

Why not get a 'new' quote from a comparison site, add it on, and see how much it works out for you.

Also declared mine.

And my exhaust, and manifold, and rota wheels etc etc.

And now my NOS.

I'm taking no chances. Should the worst happen and I crunch into the back of a veyron and then ricochet off into a bus queue of people, I couldn't afford to find out I wasn't covered.

Have declared all mods (exhaust, manifold, intake, cosmetic, wheels and suspension. Cost extra £50 on the year. Bargain if you ask me compared to providing an opportunity for non-disclosure claim denial. Plus you can replace it when you crash!

Either do it or don't. Other people opinions don't mean anything in court.

Phone call / email to my insurance company later this week to see how much they want to extract from my wallet.

Then acquire said kit - I'm guessing it is a fairly easy DIY fit?
