Default Where is the ECU?

I have a feeling that my s2k has an uprated ecu, so my mate got his Scooby back from the Rollers today and it read 269.4 BHP at the fly, i manage 3 lengths on him!! all the time! i had a JDM S2k last year and the one i have just bought seems way faster.. thing is.. its a totally standard car. no exhaust or filter.. so i have a feelin it may have an uprated ECU or maybe im a SH*T hot driver :-)

Passenger side kick panel, it's behind there. I have Paul_j's J's Racing ECU on my car currently it was a noticeable difference aswell.

Its located on the passenger side footwell. remove the plastic trim to the left of the passenger's feet and all will be revealed

269 at the flywheel on an AWD car will equal about 200 at the wheels. Your S will have nearly the same, plus it's lighter.

I've seen many an S2000 keep up with a standard impreza...

So I doubt there is any mystery.

Plus any modified ECU on a standard S2000 is not going to get you any real noticable difference. 10 bhp and that would be with an AEM standalone.

Even if it's a J's racing one, you would need breathing mods to go with it to make it much quicker.

It will add 8BHP at the very most and even less throughout the rev range.

J's ECU though IME

I think Subaru's are quite fast, i had a blat with one a while back turns out it was a modified P1!

A modified Subaru is fast. A standard one isn't that exciting, but still nippy. There are many variants though, and a Spec C is going to demolish most things.
