Default Where to get a large cardboard box from?

I have to post my front bumper in about 1 week and not sure where to get a box big enough. Can you buy them online, or is there a sneakier way, like going to B&Q and asking if you can steal one?

If you go loiter around the delivery entrances to supermarkets / DIY stores etc you can often pick one up for nothing, it's one less box for them to get rid of so most are quite happy to do it.

Youve got to think who sells stuff in the size of item you're trying to post

I'd be inclined to find a place that sells tall fridge freezers - even if you see a delivery wagon - stop them and ask, they carry all the rubbish in the back till the end of the day .

Failing that, pop down the local recycling depot

The best place for boxes is any storage depot (where you rent a cubicle to store personal effects i.e. when moving home) near you.

For a bumper, you may have to tape two boxes together to get the length you need.

they have cardboard 'wardrobes' which would probably take a bumper just fine

Yeah dude thats what i was thinking, i used to work for a removals company and those wardrobe boxes would be a very close size to a front bumper.

Mark, if you're up in Windsor, pop over to see me.

I've got loads of boxes in the shed that you can have a look at and take if they're of any use.

I've "made" a box to send motorbike bits out.

I think you'd struggle to get one box big enough for a bumper......
