My air con seems to work fine with the hood down - very handy coming back from the Norfern meet in scorching weather.

I almost considered putting the hood up for the 200 mile journey it was so hot - skin cancer etc . Fortunately the clouds predictably rolled in as soon as I passed the border back into scotland.

If it gets too hot, put the soft top up and turn on the aircon. If you like the sun but are hot, put the aircon on whilst top is down (did it this morning and was lovely!). But I can't get my head around keeping the hard top on.........why bother buying a soft top in the first place???!!!.

I actually can't see the point of a hardtop unless you are not able to garage the car

oh no..........I can see the 'hard-top' debate returning..........

I also use the air-con with the hood down - in fact I use the air-con 95% of the time when driving with either hood up or down.

I prefer the middle setting for the vents - the one which allows air to flow from the vents above the stereo because it also allows air to flow from the side vents.

I rarely use the aircon as it saps too much performance....on the occassions I have used it I switch off before 'engaging' with the enemy

The only possible excuse that someone has of having their hard top on in this weather is if they are taking the car to sell it/trade it in.

When I took my MCB to Bury ST Edmunds it obviously had to go with the hard top on, and I was praying that no-one from the board would spot me as I knew I'd never live it down!

Use the aircon a reasonable amount but like Zero disengage it before launching an attack!. Also can't see the point of a hard top but completely understand that it is down to personal opinion. Personally prefer the look with the soft top but that's me!.
