Default Why do I bother?

First big major "wash and wax" for the last 3 months:

1. Wash
2. Blade + Towel
3. Hoover + Duster (Interior)
4. Z6
5. Z2 + ZFX
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 two more times
7. Autoglym Crome Polish (Exhaust Tips)
8. Turtle Wax Extreme Tire Gloss
9. Mr Muscle Window cleaner
10. Put on Car Cover

Total Time: 16:00 - 22:30

Why do I bother? Next time I go out in this crappy weather, it's going to be back to square one.

But now the car looks stunning.

Isabelle,
You bother out of love and care for your baby! Admittedly I've run away from the crappy weather, but my S still comes home looking grubby after flying down dirt roads or just long cruises with plenty of road grime.

A good scrub up works wonders.

I can't believe I'm saying this in public but hey ho !

Betterware (catalogue left outside your door, cat's probably wee'd in it !) have 'smear free' window cleaning foam.

Dirt cheap and very effective.

I found it when I bought the mobile phone magnet. Best S2k mod @

Anyone use anything on the inside of the windows to stop them misting up? if so WHAT??
Mine seem to be getting worse the colder it gets. I saw a product demo'ed at the motor show, the bloke was giving it the real hard sell but it looked really good, anyone know what that was called? wish I had picked some up now.

Do you....

Z6
Gloss enhance, after washing? I`m not trying to appear a pedantic tw@t (even though I always somehow manage to). I`m just interested.

I`d wash/dry/Z2+ZFX then Z6.

(but the one plus is, it`ll stay like that for weeks and should it get messy a wash will be soooooooooooooo easy)

I am about to order - though I have been saying that for some time now. I recognise from your posting true, world class expertise in the application of your car care programme.

When I do place my order and my car arrives, any chance you could kind of pop over and show my wife how to get that better than showroom shine? It would avoid all that un-necessary arguing when she makes a "bish" of it all and the car is left with streaks as she has on my previous cars .

And then, a few weeks later - show my daughter?

I would do it myself, but I know keen my wife is to look after my car.

I try to wash mine rain or shine every Sunday to avoid too much build up

find that applying Turtle Wax (the green stuff you put in the water) neat to the wheels keeps them in good condition
