How much does your S2000 weigh?

World Wide S2000 Weights (MY00-MY03):

Japan: 2734lbs (1240kg)
Austrialia: 2776lbs (1259kg)
United Kingdom: 2778lbs (1260kg)
United States: 2810lbs (1274kg)
Germany: 2910lbs (1320kg)
Why is this, what is extra provided in these cars and less in Japan?

Interesting!

I imagine region specific options like cruise control will add a bit here and there, but I can't think of any that would make the German S 80kg heavier than the Japanese one? That's a hell of a difference!

Rahul, werre you bored when the site was down this afternoon, and looking at what was left on the front page of s2ki.com like I was ?

The German one certainly is puzzling - is it because they have to carry extra safety equipment like warning triangles/extingushers?

Think this has more to do with how the weight of vehicles must be published in certain countries rather than differing extras etc (e.g. fuel, luggage, weight of driver etc etc).

It might be but I don't think we are talking about Kerb Weights as per regulations but I think plain simple what does a car weight. I'm not sure either way hence the question.
