I love my S2000. I'd like other cars like an RX7 and R34 GTR, but if I ever get them, it will be as well as my S2000, not instead. I plan on keeping it forever. For me it's perfect. I don't want it to be my daily driver forever, but I definitely want to keep it forever. I'd actually quite like another S2000 that can be my project car. I'd love to throw money away and tune it up keeping it N/A. I love watching hot version international, and I'd just like my own ultra insane S2000. Raised rev limiter and all.

Let me know if I should include other answers. Perhaps how long people plan on keeping their car for?

 

Dunno; it's been nearly 15 years now.

I keep thinking I'll replace it with something better but 1. nothing has yet come along and 2. then I drive it again and change my mind.

 

I've always really liked the S.

Its rarely like that with me and cars, i usually grow to like em. With the S its bang on what i want from a car so yeah, i plan to keep it.

You never know what life throws at you. When I bought mine I thought I was going to keep it forever and then I was forced to sell it.

5 years later I'm planning on buying another one and keep it forever. That's how much I love the car.

I guess that can be a yes?

 

This is the first car I can truly say I intend to keep it forever. If anything happens to it I would go out and buy another one immediately <3

 

It's just two weeks into my 'S' ownership, so too early to say, but judging by my usual practice, I tend to hold 'special' cars for a period in excess of 5 years. Will know by this time next year how the S2000 fares, but initial impressions are that it will be a longer-term hold, if not a keeper.

 

I dont really want to get rid of the car, but for me having £10k tied up in a car is a lot of money, and money that i could get better use out of at my age as im in need of a bigger house, or a second house and the only way to do either of them is to sell the car, which is not going to happen yet i think i will get another summer out of it first and a few track days and then sell it.

 

It'd be interesting to see how many of those who voted 'forever', would actually keep it forever.

 

I think if anything, I'd sell mine to get another, slightly newer one. So the poll topic should be "Do you plan on keeping an S2000 forever?"
