Hi All,

I want to fit a wind stop to my MY00 as it didnt have one fitted when it came from the factory..

How do they fit? Will i have to replace the top of the secret compartment or drill some lovely holes into the one i have on my car?

I'd like to keep it OEM so if anybody has one or knows of one for sale, let me know..

Ta very much...

There are a couple of indents on the back of the lid that needed drilling through.

Like Budgie Senior says try the breakers - be warned they are not cheap!

Oh, and by the way - they work!

I took mine off for a day while I was playing with video camera mounts, and my neck ended up f*cked. Looked like a bloody stroke victim cos it went all stiff!

I just bought one of the bigger sized ones from Muz. Just waiting for it to come along. I've also got an MY00, so will have to drill the holes. Tbh, I can't wait to get it since the tops been down most of the time after xmas.

Why not check them out, works out cheaper than a breakers and that includes the shipping. Also a larger surface area so will end up stopping that little bit more wind turbulence.

make sure you clean inside of rear screen thoroughly before you fit it Andrew, non folding will mean very hard to clean screen afterwards - reckon it might be easier to remove in order to clean rear window. Dont see any other issues - you will never want to fold it other than then and the extra height can do nothing but help

Cheers Nick, was thinking about maybe attaching a rubber strip under it as well, might stop any nast vibration noises.

I know its probs easier with the OEM one since it folds, but I've been put off by the prices from stealers/breakers and also, comparatively small surface area compared to the Muz one.

Also got the leather console cover......woohoo lol.
