Covered on insurance?
If so you pay the excess, probably less than £80.

If not, then expect a bill of about £400 or more.

I've been through about 3 windscreens some how last year, £70 excess each time, doesn't count as a claim and doesn't effect the premium. As long as you ticked the windscreen cover box.

Cheers Steve....

'Think it's covered, but wondered re any loss of no claims so considered paying myself..... but £400!!

Strangely, in well over 30 years driving I've never had to replace a windscreen before.

Garry, the S2000 seems to get through a lot of windscreen glass in it's life.
If you are not covered, get it added to your policy.

I think it's due to the low height coupled with the aero shape of the nose.
Stones are directed along the bonnet right at the glass.
I do a lot of motorway and track, and have lots of stone skid marks on the bonnet and small chips.

I also had a fresh chip like that from an evening drive.
Next morning I opened the garage and was greeted by a 12" crack.

Crack kills...

Yep, my front end looks like it's been used as practice for the local 12-bore club.

It's hopefully going in next month for the paintwork, screen is now just another expense, sadly.

never done windscreen, but passenger side glass was £260.
i cant remember if this was fitted or supply only, but it was put through insurance at that price.
apparently it was honda glass only, so that could well explain the price tag.

i'd expect more for front windscreen, but from other replies it appears not..
