Default Windscreen surround trim

I just removed my windscreen to get rid of the rust that was growing under the trim. Only trouble is to get the screen out I had to cut the trim, so does anyone know where the best place is to get a trim that preferably doesn't cost the £135ish that Honda want? They are much much cheaper in America but I'm not sure I want to have one sent from across the pond in case it gets damaged on the way.

The windscreen fitter I just spoke to said that as far as he knows they are a dealer only part.

I was told ny the guy who fitted my new screen that had to come from Honda , and certianly mine was in Honda packaging.

The first thing he asked for when he arrived to fit the screen was a bucket of hot water t soak the surround in, to make it nice and plyable. When first fitted in had the odd wrinlke, which I pointed out. He asurred me this would go by the next day, he was right , smooth as a cashmere codpeice next day

This is good to know as I just got a massive stone chip in the middle of my windscreen on the Druids run this morning so its going to need replacing!

Have you thought about going through your insurance windscreen cover floppy?

I had my windscreen replaced on my old MY02 S2K and it only cost me £75 all in which was the excess for replacement! The guy took less that 2hrs too
