Default Windscreen washer bottle/pump prob

Finally it was time for my cars first MOT since I've owned the car (possibly first one ever, seems its not been used for about 4 years?!) and before I take it there I do a few checks, and lo and behold, no washers.

So check the level, empty.
So fill it up, and it pours all over the floor

Undo the arch liner (which has never fitted right, i see why now, its been off before) and though the light isnt great, I can see right in front of me a hole in the bottle where somethings meant to plug in, and the waters coming out of it.

I cant see it too well, and dont know if there is more than one pump, so is the hole right in front of you when you take the side of the liner off where a washer pump should be?

If anyone has a pic, or can just confirm it is, that would be great. There is one on ebay at mo, but the angle shows me nothing!

Also, does the S2K share its washer pumps (if thats what I need) with any other Honda? Incase that makes getting one easier...

EDIT- Seems to be the windscreen pump missing, headlight washer pump still there. No sign of the pipe that would normally go to the windscreen pump though. Argh.

Two pumps, one for lamps, one for screen.

Right, took it for MOT anyhow as it was booked.

Failed on rear pads and windscreen washers, nothing else, so thats good. Not that suprising seeing as it only has 28500 on the clock I guess!

Now to find the correct pump, nearest dealers about 30miles away so wouldve been good if I could use one from another honda I can find at a local breakers...

Strange !

Wonder why it's missing

I wouldn't expect it to have gone after just 4 years.

I really dont know, its odd as hell, the whole car is though to be fair.
It's not as if its a part anyone would be likely to steal either is it!

Im pretty certain one of the many universal pumps available from most motorfactors will fit, but as the old one is missing, I cant take it with me to compare, so without a pic, even that's a bloody nightmare, lol.

I'll get there in the end im sure, damn cars!

Robbed by the dealer before you got it? down to your nearest factors and get a replacement at a fraction of the cost.
At the first chance I get I'll ask at my mates place if he can do them and see if he'll sort a mail order price.

Well thats the thing, seems factors (or the ones ive been to) dont list them by car, at least not for S2Ks, they just do a selection and one of them will fit pretty much any car.
But to know which ones which, you need to know what the original looked like, and mines nowhere to be seen!

THREAD REVIVAL TIME!

Does anyone have photos of what it looks like behind the liner/arch please? I need to empty mine as the water smells worse than some concoction of tomcat scent, fox crap, and the most stagnant water you've ever smelt! I don't have a hose pump and don't want to burn the pump out just sitting there spraying it...

Just pour a 1/2 bottle of white (racist!) vinegar in there and carry on until the bottle is empty.

That's what I did with the Leg End. It's only ever happened this summer, which is odd. I put it down to the drawbacks of having an idiot light on the washer bottle, so it never gets properly emptied. But it might be a WSH-thing associated with this Summer.

EDIT: not only is white (racist!) vinegar an effective bactericide, it's the Finest Universal Cleaner Known® to man and is more effective for rashes & skin conditions than many of the quack products such as ectopic steroids etc which are really quite bad for you. Very useful to have a bottle or two around.
