Red face Winter Storage

Ok when do ye start it off and do you think its worth it?

I was thinking of taking the car off the road from November til end of February or maybe March as well. I really cant see the point in having it paid up to be otr as i wont be driving it much. Ill be sorting my daily driver with tax and stuff instead.

What does it cost per month to tax? As mine is a MY99 it's only about £15 a month (less than half a tank of petrol) so I can't see that it's worth the hassle. How frustrating will it be on those lovely crisp sunny autumn days when you can't go out....

In Ireland its stupid money to tax the S2000, like €173 for three months (minimum time you can tax it for) or €614 for the year.
For the newer cars its way more expensive too.. rated on CO2 emissions so its in the highest band at €2100 for a year if it is registered after July 2008.

Rip off Ireland!

(sorry a lil off topic)

If I had the option I think i'd go off the road for the winter, especially if its anything like the last one!

I do use a crap car for winter but it's mainly for days when I can't get the roof down or the road conditions are awful.

Never SORN'd the S. I'd miss driving her on cold, sunny winter days. I love being all wrapped up with a wooly hat and the roof down!
