Depends what you want, zeeat.

I had an AusS2000 air intake extension - a cold air intake "inspired by" the one produced by Spoon - and it helped get rid of kangarooing and improved throttle response.

I swapped it for a PRM recently. The throttle response feels just as smooth, no recurrence of kangarooing but the induction noise is much louder and bassier.

No contest in my mind - PRM every time. But for me, the considersation was noise first, other stuff second - your preferences might be different.

If it's the noise you want - PRM is the way. I heard AE blow his trumpet at the Herts meet - very cool!

I'd love to go down the PRM route...... but my S is a company car so that sort of mod is out of the question!....... I just hope they won't notice that I've hacked up the airbox

PM me and I'll tell you which company I work for....... as well as a very good company car scheme (I own the car on a lease deal, but the company pay the insurance, servicing and road tax) we have a test drive service that is a dream for a petrol head like me........ if its on the company car list you can test drive it!....... and by test drive I mean they deliver the test car to you to "test" for a minimum of 24 hours, but on average you get to have the car for a few days and sometimes a week

Most people see cars as A to B so only test drive when they need to change cars (once every three years)....... I however am doing my best to work through the performance car list........ the only problem is that some of the low volume cars on the list (996 GT2 and GT3 or the SL55) are often not available to test because the car companies don't run a tester!........ I've got a 350Z, RX-8, XKR, RS6 and VX220 Turbo lined up for later in the year
