Default Wow - What a Difference

Having had my car for close onto 3 years now, I finally got round to updating the speakers, having already added in an OEM autochanger.

I bought the JBL 603 MkII from Gary Dowsett (many thanks Gary ) & as it was a nice day today, I thought I'd have a go at fitting them.

Everything went smoothly, until I removed the old speakers. They have this Honda custom fit speaker plug on it with no indication of which is the +ve & -ve wires.

Off to the Honda Dealer I went, and I was told that the striped one was the -ve.

Great

Did the passenger side, BEAUTIFUL.

Tried the drivers side & both wires had a strip on them Now what do I do ???

Back to the dealer, who told me that the yellow/green was the +ve.

Back home, & its all fitted together nicely now.

What can I say ???

The difference is truly amazing for a relatively small outlay.

To anyone who has the original crappy speakers, all I can say is CHANGE THEM ASAP !!!!

Regards
Bharat

heck of a difference isn't it!

For future note (and you don't want to hear this Bharat! ) Halfords sell a set of cable adaptors for the door speakers, they are the same as late model Accords.

Tifosi Red,

I'm so happy that I am not too concerened. I simply took them apart, taped up the original spades & used the cable-lock cable joining system. It worked a treat !!!

I'm waiting for animeS2k to do the revisions, given the crap level of response he got when he posted a thread over here though I wouldn't blame him if he didn't bother.... see what I mean!

The existing ones are still available though, browse down this thread and they are in linked to in one of my posts

Nice one! I just wanted the text to read www.s2ki.co.uk (or just s2ki.co.uk if that doesn't fit) rather than uk.s2ki.com

Cheers!

If you can do the changes I can host the revised files.
