Arrow Wrong Tyres Fitted

Iv'e just had two front tyres fitted on my car the size and type RE050 was confirmed yesterday. Iv'e just picked the car up and got back home and they have fitted RE050A tyres which have a different tread pattern.

I don't know whether to keep the tyres they have fitted or is it worth going back and kicking off to get the tyres i asked for?

I'd kick off if you specified MJ.

Kick off at them. Event Mobile Tyres did the same thing to me. I asked them at the time whether they were the MZ's as I requested and the guy said - "it's ok - they will work just as well". Trusting him, I drove down to Gatwick and had the scariest drive of my life - the car was all over the place.

I got back and phoned EMT and they apologised and fitted the proper MZ's first thing the following day (despite the fact I'd done 200 miles on the wrong set).

There is no chance I would accept incorrect tyres if you had specified S2000 specific RE050s.

Did you explicitely ask for the MZ's or did you just ask for the RE050's?

Thanks for the advice.

I was very specific and they even went out and checked the tyres before ordering them in!!

The fitting company was Charlie Browns in Denton Burn. I've just been on the phone to them and they are going to change them over however Bridgestone have told them that there are none in the country at the present and they are on back order.

At least they did not put up a fight and are happy to replace them, they said that the tyres were put on in error as they were incorrectly entered into the stock system.

Just spoke to Charlie Browns and Result!! they've having the tyres imported and should be able to fit them tomorrow (I re confirmed the type and they were crystal about what they were getting).

I'm really pleased with how they have handled it, I feel its a bit of a result and they've only cost just over
